What is EMSculpt?
EMSculpt is an FDA-approved body contouring treatment that focuses on breaking down and eradicating fat while building muscle so that patients can achieve a leaner shape that is more toned and defined.
The way in which EMSculpt works is entirely non-invasive. Patients are attached to a machine that delivers high intensity, electromagnetic energy to the area that is being targeted, causing the muscles to contract and release over and over. Each session lasts around 30 minutes, during which time your muscles will contract an average of 20,000 times! This will not feel painful, but you will notice a sensation like you are doing a workout that is affecting these same muscles.
After your session, you can expect your muscles to feel as though you have been engaged in intense physical activity and some tenderness/soreness is normal. You shouldn’t need to take any pain relief.
EMSculpt is normally carried out in a series of sessions with an adequate rest period in between. Most patients are recommended to undergo four EMSculpt sessions, with a minimum of 24 hours to rest between each. The metabolization of fat cells will begin immediately following your first treatment, but since the metabolic process rate varies between patients, it can take up to four weeks for you to see the final result of your EMSculpt treatment plan.
